Lyria sat, her back to the corner of the grimy, ill-reputed tavern where she held court and sought clients, or rather they sought her. her father's jagged-edged dagger, a weapon familiar to all the denezins and most citizens of templaithil, stood in the center of the small round table, a symbol of her profession and position. Her mood was bored and irritable. She had receved no commissions for a personal job in a month, and nary a challenge in a year. her subjects were avoiding her, and wisely so as her current mood could easily prove lethal. she sighed "bring me another of these." she ordered a cringing waitress.

Gogmegug walks into the bar angrily, searching for someone, anyone who seemed capable of the job set before him. There. In the corner....she seemed dangerous enough, and if not, he certainly could find another. He walks over to her, his voice low, growling. "Oy, yer look like ye know yer wayz around a scrap"

Lyria looked the orc over, automaticly anylising the the neatest, fastest way she could kill him where he stood. "I suppose I do at that, have you a task for me or one of my subjects?" she said it with a slightly sarcastic edge, it was clear the brute was unaware of what precisely he'd walked into.She gestured around the room, indicating the various thugs, theives, and other criminals who inhabited the rest of the room, avoiding meeting their queen's eyes in this mood of hers.

he orc flashes a big, orcy grin. "aye...gotz me a real tuff one, killed a bunch o' me boyz..." he takes a moment to examine her further, taking in her form, the way her hands rest by her weapons "and you look like you'z gots enough boyz to handle this."

"one person? who needs," she paused, putting an element of comtempt into her voice, " 'boyz' to manage that." she pulled a dagger from a sheath in her tail and threw it through the throngs to strike the dart board on the oposite wall, a bulls eye.

He blinks, a slow grin crossing his features, till he finally bursts out into laughter. "ah! you'z a good one with that tiny-pointy eh? I think you'z gots what it takes..." he trails off, slamming a big bag down on the table. several coins spilling out of it. "i'z a busy orc....that good nuff for ye?"

Lyria picked up a single coin and examined it, and, concluding that it was a standard mix of gold and baser metals for strength, she tilted her head and asked, "whats the job?" she also waved over a barmaid with a pair of pints Lyria hijacked from their intended destination and had set before herself and her 'client'.

He sits down, gladly accepting one of the mugs. "Gots a big un' need ya ter get him fer me...i wants ta deal with this one personally..." the rest of the conversation lost in the mixture of voices

The last time she had to take someone alive was a councilor's squabble about 5 years ago. needless to say, this brutish orc had fired her curiosity. "that'snot an easy thing to do, although I do have access to a rare poison that should subdue him nicely, size irrelevent. so, where am I most likely to find him, where do you want him brought, and what, precisely does he look like, act like and so forth?"

the orc grins, rubbing one of his tusks for a moment as he conjures the description up in his mind. "He'z a big'un...half as tall again as one o' me boyz, an' eazy twice as wide. gives a right proper fight, and yea...i wants him alive...gots some payback to give da fella." he laughs darkly as he finishes his drink

Lyria sighed, the orc was evidently not much of one for details, "where will I find this giant of a man?" she pressed, leaning forward "What does he wear? how is he armed? what colors are his hair, eyes, skin? will he have companions?" she spoke these questions softly, intently, in a voice none of her subjects ever wanted to hear her use with them. there was contempt in her tone, and an intensity in her every movement that belied the indifferent posture she had displayed moments earlier.

"right then." she said professionally, standing and picking up the gold. "where shall I bring him once I've caught him?" she asked briskly, already planning what she should pack. she would need the Moraturawr and the antidote, her daggers and her katana, a dress couild be useful too.....

Lyria looked at the crude map for a moment, raoidly commiting it to memory. she returned it to gomegug, then, placing a last item or two into the bag, and slinging it onto her back, she told gogmegug, "this will probably take about a month." she then talks with her presumptive 'heir' for a moment, then exits to the tavern stables and selects two horses, her own black fresian mare and a dapple grey percheron gelding. saddles both, putting her bag in her saddle bag and rides off north at a canter.
